Black Mul Cotton with fine diagonal stripe Ajrakh block print across the body that gives way to large, bold Ajrakh motifs - lotus, florals and architectural forms in rust, blue-grey and cream - as it moves toward the hem. The border is where this saree truly comes into its own: a gold zari band, a hand block printed Ajrakh band, and a wide elaborate Ajrakh block print border, all layered one after the other. The pallu carries a wide, sweeping gold zari band that gives it a grandeur you don't often find in a cotton saree.
