FAQs

1. Is the blouse piece included?

Yes. Every saree comes with an unstitched blouse piece unless mentioned otherwise in the product description. The blouse worn by the model is styled for the photoshoot and is not included.

2. Will the saree look exactly like the photos?

We make every effort to represent the colours of our sarees as accurately as possible. However, slight variations may occur due to differences in screen settings and display devices.

3. Are these sarees handcrafted?

Every Ajrakh saree at Nalivu is handcrafted using traditional hand block printing techniques and natural dyes. Our upcoming Kalamkari collection includes both hand block printed and screen printed sarees, with the printing technique clearly mentioned on each product page. As these are artisan-made textiles, slight variations in print, colour, or weave are natural and make every piece unique.

4. Do natural dyes bleed?

A little colour release during the first few washes is completely normal for naturally dyed fabrics. This is a characteristic of the dyeing process and does not affect the beauty or quality of the saree.

5. How should I wash my saree?

We recommend dry cleaning for the first few washes. Afterwards, gently hand wash separately in cold water using a mild detergent. Avoid soaking, wringing, or drying in direct sunlight.

For Ajrakh mirror work sarees, we recommend dry cleaning only. Avoid hand washing or machine washing, as this may loosen or damage the mirrors over time.

6. How long does delivery take?

In-stock sarees are usually delivered within 4–7 business days. Made-to-order sarees may take approximately 30–45 days, as each piece is handcrafted on request and goes through multiple stages before it is ready.

Please note that these timelines are indicative and may vary depending on your delivery location, public holidays, weather conditions, or courier delays.

7. Can I return my order?

Yes. We accept eligible returns in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy. Please refer to our Return & Refund Policy for complete details and eligibility.

8. Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?

Currently, we do not offer Cash on Delivery. All orders can be placed securely using our online payment options.

9. Do you ship all over India? Is shipping free?

Yes, we ship across India. Shipping is free on all orders above ₹1,999. For orders below that, a shipping charge applies at checkout.

10. Do you ship internationally?

Right now, we ship only within India. We're working on bringing Nalivu to international customers soon. Follow us on Instagram [@nalivu.in] for updates on when this opens up.

11. Where do you source your sarees from?

Our Ajrakh sarees are handcrafted by skilled artisans in Kutch, Gujarat, using traditional hand block printing techniques. Each piece celebrates a craft that has been practiced for generations.

Our upcoming Kalamkari sarees are sourced from artisan clusters and weaving communities in Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh. You can find more details about the craft and its place of origin on each product page.
